ACT V - SCENE II. Before the walls of Athens.
Enter two Senators and a Messenger

First Senator
1    Thou hast painfully discover'd: are his files
2    As full as thy report?
Messenger
3    have spoke the least:
4    Besides, his expedition promises
5    Present approach.
Second Senator
6    We stand much hazard, if they bring not Timon.
Messenger
7    I met a courier, one mine ancient friend;
8    Whom, though in general part we were opposed,
9    Yet our old love made a particular force,
10   And made us speak like friends: this man was riding
11   From Alcibiades to Timon's cave,
12   With letters of entreaty, which imported
13   His fellowship i' the cause against your city,
14   In part for his sake moved.
First Senator
15   Here come our brothers.
Enter the Senators from TIMON

Third Senator
16   No talk of Timon, nothing of him expect.
17   The enemies' drum is heard, and fearful scouring
18   Doth choke the air with dust: in, and prepare:
19   Ours is the fall, I fear; our foes the snare.
Exeunt
