Bassist/vocalist Colin Moulding is a founding member of XTC, having first begun playing in pre-XTC groups with Andy Partridge in 1972. Although a less prolific songwriter than Partridge, he has written many of the band's best known songs, including "Life Begins at the Hop", "Making Plans for Nigel", and "King for a Day".
