The album is a collection of thirteen songs plus one bonus track, mostly penned by Herrera Alonso and sung in Spanish, Portuguese and English. The album was recorded in El Barrio Studios ES for the Blanco Music label, and was produced by Robin Taylor-Firth (previous credits include Nightmares on Wax, Olive). Mil i Maria's sound exhibits the influences of flamenco, fado, folk and the French tradition of 'grand chanson'.
