Description

The Japanese and Okinawan martial arts are too many to count. Some of the Japanese arts include; Jujutsu, Judo, Iaido, Kendo, Ninpo, Sumo, Aikido, Karate, and Kenpo/Kempo. However, Karate and Kenpo/Kempo are also cosidered by many to be Okinawan styles, as is Kobudo (Okinawan weaponry).

Taido is a new Japanese style that follows a more scientific approach that one of traditionalism. The focus of the system is on self defense and health. Dr. Seiken Shukumine, a former grand master of karate, is the founder of the style.
