A variety of foods have been eaten in Europe over a long period of time because of a tradition of trading between countries. The cuisine of France if of particular note, with the strong influences from Arabian, Greek and and Roman food. Sunny southern areas are ideal for crop farms, orchards and fishing. South-west mountainous areas are more suited to potatoes and cabbage. The western coast has shellfish, is normally a dairy area and includes beer-brewing in Picadilly.
